Bandera is a city and the county seat of Bandera County, Texas, within the Texas Hill Country, which is part of the Edwards Plateau. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area. Bandera calls itself the “Cowboy Capital of the World”.
Many of our neighbors to the north RV in the area over the winter months. Bandera also has a large presence in biker culture.
The Old West atmosphere and a thoroughly Texas vibe is evident with reenactments of cowboy gun fights, horse drawn wagons, and an occasional Longhorn outside the County Courthouse.
Bandera area property is a little rugged with rock and cedar but also oaks and cypress trees. The natural scenery is spectacular and the beautiful Medina River runs through the town.
There are shops, restaurants, dance halls and many fun events scheduled throughout the year.
